Florida Grade 1
What Grade 1 typically needs, and why
A Central Florida first grader writes in a primary composition book, keeps a wired pair of headphones for the classroom iPad or computer, and uses dry-erase markers on a small board. Those nouns come from official 2026 to 2027 lists; the crates below teach the work those tools do.

How a Grade 1 lesson runs
- Open a crate. Each crate is a subject: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and seven more.
- Open a lesson. Flip the prompt, then the fact. The object on the table (letter cards, ten-frame, journal) does the application.
- Write in the composition book from the supply list. Log any book title if you keep a Florida homeschool portfolio.
