FPEA How to Homeschool
Florida Parent-Educators Association walkthrough.
Florida home education
A Florida homeschool shelf, plus a Grade 1 year you can actually run. Start with the statute, keep a contemporaneous portfolio, then open the Grade 1 crates.
Today’s Grade 1 / plannerGrade 1Kits
Florida home education is in F.S. 1002.41. FLDOE’s hub: Home Education. Parent checklist: Parent resources.
FLDOE’s parent page names three statutory filings:
From F.S. 1002.41 (2024 statutes page), in plain language, not a substitute for the statute:
OCPS publishes its own annual-evaluation page and local options. Use OCPS Annual Evaluation for Orange County process. Other counties: FLDOE district contacts, not a scraped phone list.
This page summarizes F.S. 1002.41 and FLDOE home-education pages. It is not legal advice. Read the statute. Your district’s home education office may have forms.
Open the Grade 1 crates below. Each crate is a subject. Each lesson is a topic. Cards are ages 6 to 8.
This Grade 1 sequence follows the lesson outline dated 2026-03-29. For adopted course descriptions, use CPALMS and the district.
Log today’s work (date, lesson name, reading title, note). Save a sample (print a worksheet). Export a year log (the parent owns the file).
Nothing logged. The statute wants a contemporaneous log. Start with today’s lesson.
