How to read a school supply list
A 2026 to 2027 elementary list is a column of nouns, quantities, and footnotes. Open Lists, then mark journal style, headphone jack, and community extras.

How to walk the list

- Find the gradeTeachers may add a class-specific sheet later. Union Park, Sun Blaze, Eagle Creek, and Lakemont all say that on the page.

What “primary journal” means
Same job — encoding after a phonics lesson — two rulings. If the cover says “Primary Journal,” that is the picture box. A marble book is the wide-ruled kind.

FAQ
Do I need two pairs of headphones?
Sun Blaze and Maxey Grade 1 lists ask for two pairs. SCPS Grade 1 lists one set and notes that shared classroom headphones are available. Read the campus column.
What if the school names a brand I cannot find?
Carry the official list. A generic 24-count crayon box, a #2 pencil, or a blunt-tip child scissor is the noun. The brand line is the school’s preference.
