What do same and different mean?

Same means alike. Different means not alike. We sort blocks, leaves, and pictures.

Which words tell where?

Next to, behind, under.. Position words in the block area.

Is this true? We can ask what a new word means during a read-aloud.

Yes. Ask. Use the new word in play later.

What is a complete spoken sentence at VPK?

Five or more words that tell who did what. 'The cat sat on the rug.'

Is this true? Children understand more words than they say.

Yes. Receptive vocabulary is larger. Teach words in context.
