What is a phoneme?
Phonological Awareness and Phonics
Phonological awareness is hearing the sounds in spoken words. Phonics is matching those sounds to letters. Florida B.E.S.T. ELA.1.F.1.2 and ELA.1.F.1.3 put both in Grade 1. The primary journal on OCPS lists is where the child writes the word after saying it.

How this lesson runs
